Our latest sensor model is equipped with two cameras: a thermal imaging camera and a classic imaging camera. This means that in addition to the classic image, Hydra can also see things that are not perceptible to the eye. That way the double-headed Hydra really doesn’t miss a thing.
Hydra can be used anywhere where, in addition to classic image processing, temperatures are to be measured at very specific points in the image. This is made possible by cleverly linking the thermal and image information. For example, during weld seam inspection, a thermographic inspection can be performed in addition to the optical inspection. Here, the temperature distribution provides information about hollow spots. Another very recent application example is the People Thermal Tracker (PTT), which can be used for face recognition and simultaneous fever measurement as part of COVID-19 measures.
So it is obvious: Hydra is a very versatile camera. Nevertheless, it can easily be used for a variety of applications. This is ensured by the intuitive drag-and-drop programming that is typical for our EyeVision software.
